Ticket sale for the respective evening 1 hour before the beginning of the performance, chamber and late-night concerts from ½ hour before the beginning.
You can book tickets for all of the performances at the Komische Oper Berlin by selecting the desired performance from the schedule, there clicking on TICKETS, and selecting the desired seats from the seating plan. Then, please follow the instructions of the booking system. Data within the booking system is transmitted via SSL encryption and thus accords to the current safety standards. For every performance of the repertory we offer a short introduction
always half an our before the performance in the foyer, free of charge.

Talk to the audience

Cloakroom
Use of the cloakroom is included in the ticket price.

Translation system
Most seats at Komische Oper Berlin are equipped with an individual screen to display the libretto, if desired. You can switch between the German libretto and the English, French and Turkish translation. We would also like to point out that every programme contains a summary of the plot in English, or a separate summary is available upon request from the evening staff .

Children (up to age 16)
8 € for tickets in all price categories for performances throughout the whole season. (Subject to availability and on presentation of the necessary documentation.)

Groups of 15 or more school students
5 € for tickets in all price categories for all performances from Sun to Thu

Pupils (age 17 and up), students (up to age 30), apprentices, persons doing military or alternative service, unemployed persons, retirees, senior citizens (age 65 and up) throughout the whole season
for music theatre: 8 € discount in price categories I — IV
for concerts: 5 € discount in price categories I — II
for children operas: 4 € discount in price categories I — IV

Tickets at reduced prices for performances of the 2012 / 13 season can be booked by phone or at the booking office. Discounts do not apply for premieres or special events. Discounts are granted upon availability and request (discounts cannot be combined, granted retrospectively or booked via the internet). Subject to availability and on presentation of the necessary documentation, such as pension ID or personal ID.

Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale about lies, self-deception and vanity becomes a lively satirical musical comedy in the hands of Czech composer Miloš Vacek (1928 – 2012).
